About this project

Well Beings is a conversation card deck created as part of the Partnership for Youth and Planetary Wellbeing (PYPW) (2023–2025) research project in the Americas, led by the Young Lives Research Lab.

Created by the Canadian Youth Advisory Committee: Zakirah Allain, Polina Vaynshtok, Jessica Huang, and Sierra Gogol, with support from Dr. Roxanne Cohen. Each theme features an illustration of one of us… or a robot.

Illustrations and designs by Zakirah Allain.

Inspired by youth and community interviews led by the youth committee with their networks. Some questions and illustration-inspiration were contributed by the Digital Wellbeing Youth Advisory Committee. The PYPW project took place across Canada, Belize, Costa Rica, and Chile - which is why the deck is available in English and Spanish. French version still pending.

Well Beings is an easy-to-play game designed to spark meaningful conversations about wellbeing in a digital age.

How to Play: Play solo or with friends. Click to unselect categories you don’t want, then explore—no right or wrong answers, just space to reflect and connect.

Ways to Play
  • Mix It Up: Shuffle all the themes and pick randomly.
  • Focused Play: Choose 1–3 themes to explore together.
  • Round-By-Round: Select one card from each theme per round.
  • Creative Challenge: Answer 3 questions from a theme, then create your own question. Use the blank cards to add your own!
  • Contrast: Pair cards and find the connection through your answer.
